Translate one paragraph
- Open the Hover translation card and check that the default hover shortcut is enabled.
- Hover over the paragraph and press Control.
- Read the translation below it. Press again to restore. Editable areas do not trigger hover translation.
Hold the shortcut and move the pointer to translate several paragraphs. If you set a delay, it starts when you enter a paragraph. Moving within that paragraph keeps the deadline; entering another paragraph starts a new delay. Moving over a translated paragraph or releasing the shortcut keeps its translation.
Leaving the webpage, switching tabs, or changing the page route cancels work that has not started. Scrolling also cancels the wait at the old position; move the pointer again to choose a paragraph. If translation fails, click the error indicator or focus it and press Enter to retry. Continuous movement does not repeatedly request a failed paragraph.
Both the default shortcut and extra hover profiles follow the page-change and cancellation rules. Move the pointer and press the shortcut again after returning. A delay of 0 requires no dwell time.
Paragraph copying and trigger settings
Hover over a paragraph and press Control to translate it. You don’t need to select text or translate the whole page. See Shortcuts & triggers to change the behavior.
The same paragraph can also be taken as text: press Alt+C to copy the paragraph under the mouse to the clipboard. A translated paragraph is copied the way it is displayed. Adjust the switch, the shortcut, and what gets copied in Settings → Translation → Paragraph copy.
